Television presenter and businesswoman Ayanda Thabethe wrote a touching message in honour of her mother, who is a nurse. The star also honoured all the other South Africans performing essential services during the 21-day lockdown which is aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.
In the lengthy message, Ayanda shared in part; “Today my thoughts and prayers go to all the service workers (nurses, doctors, policemen and women, cashiers, etc) that have to risk their own lives to help save ours.”
She continued; “Thank you for all that you do for all of us. when they talk about the call of duty this is what they speak of. We appreciate you.”
