Upon witnessing the social media content shared by the above-mentioned user, social media users came across quite a rare sight as Judy is a young makoti (a Xhosa black newly married woman) – who is seen dancing away to the tunes of amapiano in public, along with her husband.

For those who may not know, in the Xhosa culture it used to be a norm for a makoti to confirm to certain societal rules, with some set by the family. Those often included letting go of a life associated with outdoors, especially partying as the aim has always been seen as to build a home. Time passed and many couples chose to live their truths, doing what works for them regardless of what the societies deems as a norm and not. There are however some who still strongly believe and practice those societal rules strongly.
