Youtuber, reality TV star and content creator, Thulasizwe Dambuza who is popularly known as Lasizwe has recently paid an earnest homage to his mother on social media platforms.

Lasizwe who lost both his parents, took to his Instagram story to share that he had visited his mother’s grave. He captioned his post, “Today was needed. Tears rolled down on my face, but my heart sort of became ok. Mom, I love you and miss you so much my angel.”

Lasizwe’s Instagram story

The Awkward Dates host once sat down with DJ Sbu for an episode that doubled up as a collaborative interview for both DJ Sbu and Lasizwe.

In the interview, he shared that his mother Lindiwe Dambuza who was a nurse at Lesedi Private Hospital took her last breath in front of him back in 2016.

“My mom had a heart attack in December in a barbershop. I was cutting my hair for my matric dance. That day was so weird because my mom was actually spending her last cent on me just to make sure that I have a great matric dance.

“She sat down on the couch, I was cutting my hair and looking back on the mirror, and she collapsed. I saw her take her last breath,” he recalled.

This is not the first time Lasizwe remembered his mother on social media. In another instance, he penned: “Today is such a weird day for me. On this day five years ago I witnessed my mother take her last breath. Crazy how time flies and how one learns to cope with knowing that mama is no more.”

Lasizwe lost his father, Menzi Mchunu who he shares with Khanyi Mbau and Lungile Mchunu among other siblings in 2020.
