Gqom singer and dancer Bongekile Simelane, famously known as Babes Wodumo seems to be the stumbling block to her new music being dropped.

Babes Wodumo also known as Gqom Queen rose to fame in 2016 with her hitmaker Wololo featuring her late husband Mampintsha and DJ Tira. After gaining massive popularity online for her dance moves she signed to record producer and founder of Afrotainment, DJ Tira’s record label.

Despite being signed to Tira’s label, she and Mampintsha started their label called, ‘West Ink’ where they continued to make music together.

After her husband’s passing Babes took a long hiatus where she was not releasing any new music. Meanwhile, claims by entertainment publication, ZiMoja, have highlighted that the artist has been working on things but is now reluctant to drop her new project.

The above-mentioned entertainment publication stated that Babes had been working on a song with DJ Kotini and Madanon titled Nzo Nzo Nzo, adding that she has since been holding back from releasing the song as she is waiting for December to come so that the song can perform better in terms of numbers.

A close source adds, “They changed their mind during the listening session and decided that they wanted to keep the song.”

Taking to Instagram, DJ Kotini shared a snippet of the song with the caption, “She’s coming back, watch the space @babes_wodumo,” causing many internet users to the song to be released soon.
