South African producer, and actress Gugulethu Zuma-Ncube a prominent figure in South Africa’s television industry, is set to share her extensive knowledge and insights into the dynamic world of film and TV.

Known for her exceptional work as the executive producer of mzansi’s most-watched soapie, Uzalo, among other successful TV shows, Gugulethu has firmly established herself as a leading voice in the industry.

According to DailySun, the daughter of South Africa’s former President Jacob Zuma is set to make waves at this year’s Durban Film Mart (DFM) and Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) from 18 July to 28 July in Durban.

As a Stained Glass TV executive alongside Kobedi ‘Pepsi’ Pokane, who co-produced Uzalo for the SABC1 channel, Gugulethu will participate in these events, further solidifying her influence in the film and television industry.

Gugulethu and Kobedi will host two sessions under the ‘Meet the Makers’ festival theme. These sessions aim to engage with other industry leaders, discussing the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the film and television sectors.

“We are thrilled to be part of such a significant event in the film and TV industry. It is an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas with global industry leaders and to demonstrate the remarkable achievements of South African production to an international audience,” she told the above publication.

In addition to her acting career, Gugulethu has appeared in several television shows, including Interrogation Room, Isidingo and Rhythm City.

However, TshisaLive reports that in an interview on Metro FM with Moflava and Moshe Ndiki back in 2019, Gugulethu spoke candidly about the perks and downsides of being the daughter of the former President. She mentioned that her treatment by others is often influenced by their perception of her father.
