FlySafair’s annual R10 ticket sale may have come and gone, but some South Africans are still in their feelings about not scoring the hotly-contested plane tickets.

Shortly after the sale ended, disgruntled online users took to social media to express their disappointment and frustrations on missing out.

One TikToker (@nadiakamtchoua) shared a video showing her glued to the FlySafair website. The screen showed rows of numbers and the amount of available seats left.

“Oh, and here’s another thing they’ve added in, you can actually watch your heart break in real time,” she said.

She also mentioned there were no available dates until August this year: “And you can basically watch all the seats getting bought out.”

Her post managed to get more than 3,800 likes and 280 comments. Most online users felt her pain and shared their experience of the R10 sale.

“Why don’t they show us what number we are in the queue instead of blindly waiting,” suggested a fellow TikToker. Another said: “I need to see a video of someone actually getting one of these tickets.”

To soften the blow for those who weren’t as lucky, FlySafair announced a 30% discount on domestic and regional flights.

“Hey there, party people! You just don’t seem to want to go home. So, we’re extending our 30% OFF* After Party sale until 6 am tomorrow, which means you now have a few extra hours to get 30% OFF* any domestic or regional flight,” the budget airline noted on its social media channels.
