How to get your wardrobe autumn-ready

This is a sad time for summer lovers as autumn is upon us. That means longer days and shorter nights are slowly coming to an end as we welcome shorter days and longer nights.

Whether you’re still in denial about the end of the summer or you’re already lining up for your pumpkin spiced latte, there’s no denying that we need to start prepping for autumn. What that also means is that your crop tops and shorts should probably be put away to make room for the knitted jerseys, coats and sweatpants that are going to be essential in the upcoming months.

We have complied a list of essential autumn pieces that you should have in your wardrobe this autumn courtesy of Vogue. By adding these essential autumn clothing pieces to your wardrobe, you can create stylish and comfortable outfits that are perfect for the autumn season.

  1. Scarves: Scarves are perfect for adding a pop of colour to your outfit while also keeping you warm. You can choose from woollen or knitted scarves in different colours and patterns.
  2. Boots: Boots are a staple in autumn fashion. They not only look stylish but also provide warmth and comfort. You can opt for ankle boots, knee-high boots, or Chelsea boots, depending on your style.
  3. Trench coat: A trench coat is a classic and timeless piece that never goes out of style. It’s perfect for chilly autumn days and can be worn over dresses, skirts, or jeans.
  4. Knitted dresses: Knitted dresses are perfect for autumn as they provide warmth and comfort while also keeping you stylish. You can wear them with boots and a jacket for a chic look.
  5. The desk-to-dinner trousers: Autumn is a great time to embrace those tailored pieces that are usually covered-up in puffer coats come winter. We’ll be wearing our favourite tailored trousers with tank tops and blazers over the next month.
