Music legend, Johnny Clegg, has been buried in a private funeral at Westpark Cemetery in Johannesburg. The prolific musician died on Tuesday following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Johnny’s manager, Roddy Quin shared that it was the late musician’s wish to have a private burial saying in part: “Johnny was buried yesterday (Wednesday) at 16h30, just with his family and some of the band members, it was a very private affair which is what the family requested and it was also Johnny’s request.”
Roddy also shared that details about public memorial services will be announced soon.
Johnny’s son, Jesse, remembered his father on social media saying in part: “Thank you for the magical gifts you have given us.”
