A BBC drama set to be released in 2019 has begun filming in South Africa. The adaptation of Malorie Blackman’s award-winning young adult book series Noughts + Crosses, produced by Mammoth Screen, is a gripping story of first love in an alternate world where racism divides society.
BBC has announced the cast of Noughts + Crosses, and our very own Bonnie Mbuli is part of the amazing cast that will be featured in this film. Bonnie expressed her excitement with a tweet saying “Bonnie the Actress is back!!! Can’t breathe, trying to stay calm, so thrilled and honored to be part of this incredible story and cast #NoughtandCrosses.”

Malorie Blackman, author of the Noughts + Crosses novels says, “I’m thrilled that the TV dramatisation of Noughts + Crosses has such an amazing cast to bring the story to the screen. It will be so exciting to see how the writers and actors open up the world I created, adding new breadth and detail.”
Congratulations to Bonnie and we can’t wait to see this drama on our screens.
