Stars come and go, we fall in love with them, they become part of our daily lives as we tune in daily to watch our favourite soapies lives unfold on our screens. And while there have been quite a number of stars who have left our screens, we’re always looking forward to the stars that make a comeback.
Phindile Gwala and Nolo Phiri to return to your screens
1. Phindile Gwala
One such star is Phindile Gwala who we first fell in love with on Muvhango, SABC 2’s flagship show. After 5years playing Nonny on the show, Phindile resigned from the soapie because she wanted to grow her brand beyond Muvhango.
Muvhango was a great experience, however it’s my time to fly out… Still love all my supporters?❤️

Phindile has gone from the small screen to the big screen where she featured in the film Looking For Love alongside Celeste Ntuli, Lillian Dube and Trevor Gumbi.
To continue her journey on our screens, it has been reported that Phindile will be joining SABC 1’s popular TV show Uzalo which recently made history when it broke all records in the history of televisions viewing in South Africa when it hit a viewership of 10.2 million.
Phindile will be Diniwe, who is Lady D’s twin played by Khanyi Mbau. Phindile will play the antagonist to MaNgcobo played by Dawn Thandeka King. We’re excited to have Phindile back on our screens.

2. Nolo Phiri
The actress, mother, and businesswoman who left Rhythm City after being with the drama series for six years as Niki Bongco – a street-smart, humorous, confident, flirtatious, and ambitious and complex character.
The multi-talented Nolo who is also a producer will be returning to Rhythm City after being away for two years. The star will be returning as Niki and will be up to her usual stunts of stirring up drama and trouble Suffocate and Puleng who are living their best lives and seem to have resolved most of their problems and have come a long way as a couple but a storm is brewing as we see Nolo Phiri returning to do what she does best.
It’s true! Niki is back and you can catch her on @eRhythmCity from Monday, 19 November at 7PM.https://t.co/qdXawTrzQU pic.twitter.com/vk367deSX7
