- 1 medium hake steak, cubed
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 cups water
- Salt and pepper
- Rice, for serving
- Micro leaves, for serving
- Lime slices, for serving
In a frying pan, heat butter. Fry mustard seeds, cinnamon and cloves for 4–5 or until fragrant.
- Add onion, cayenne pepper, paprika, sugar, lemon juice and water. Cover with lid and cook for 14–15 or until reduce size. Add fish and cook for another 13– 15 minutes or until cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve with rice, micro leaves and lime slices.
