- 12 white cabbage leaves, blanched
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 2 cups minced meat
- 2 cups (500ml) tomato passata
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups (500ml) white sauce
- ½ cup cheese, grated
- Fresh coriander, for serving
- Preheat oven to 200˚C.
- In a frying pan, heat oil. Fry garlic until soft.
- Add cayenne pepper, minced meat, passata and mushroom. Cook for 8–10 minutes and remove from heat.
- Spoon and spread mixture into baking dish. Layer cabbage leaves and white sauce. Continue layering until all are used. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes. Serve with coriander.
