My major highlight for 2018 was recording my own special on Netflix. It is coming out in early 2019, and I can’t wait for my fans to watch it. Also, recording with the biggest comedy show on British TV, Live at the Apollo, was a huge moment for me.
Patience was the biggest lesson I learnt this year. It has remained a constant lesson throughout my career. Being patient gives you peace of mind to keep pursuing your goals relentlessly.

I am excited about my new show, Unlearning. It will delve into some of the lessons I’ve learnt in life, South African politics and any agenda that’s on top of people’s minds. It’s about realising that there’s a need to unlearn instead of being stuck in your own stereotypical mindset.
It took me a year to write the show. I have been touring it around the world in places such as Edinburgh, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. I’m taking it to New York next year to try it out on different audiences. My upcoming show in Cape Town and Durban will be the first time I perform it at big venues.
My plans for this festive season are work and family. I will be touring and spending time with my family and friends.
