Model, lawyer and activist Thando Hopa has made history as the first woman with albinism to grace the cover of Vogue magazine. The star is on the April issue of Portugal edition of the popular fashion magazine which is dedicated to “our origins and to Africa, as the birthplace of humankind.”
Thando celebrated the feat with a heartwarming tribute on social media where she expressed gratitude to those who helped achieve her goal. She said in part; “I’m emotional, because I see progress and get to form part of a progressive story and narrative. I got to a place in my career where I appreciate every specimen of my body and knowing that wherever I go, my existence, the way it is, has always and will always be enough.”
Thando Hopa makes history with Vogue cover. Congratulations!
