Radio personality and entrepreneur, Tbo Touch took to Twitter to announce the auditions for #DankieSan, a biopic set to be based on the life of the late rapper ProKid.

Linda Mkhize, better known to his fans as ProKid or PRO, was a South African rapper and producer who brought us hits such as ‘Uthini ngo Pro’, ‘Sekele’, ‘Wozobona’ and ‘Bhampa’. News broke of Pro’s death on women’s day last year. His family said the rapper had died from a severe seizure while visiting friends.

“Doctors revealed that Linda (his real name) suffered from hemosuccus pancreaticus which is bleeding in the pancreas, pancreatic duct or structures near the pancreas such as the splenic artery, that bleed into the pancreatic duct,” read part of the statement.
We’re excited about the biopic which will be honouring ProKid’s life as he was a huge contributor to the South African music industry. Tbo Touch made the announcement on his show The Take Off and said auditions will take place in July. Will you be auditioning?
