Award-winning writers, producers and musicians Babyface and Teddy Riley finally battled it out on Instagram Live. The showdown which was scheduled to take place three weeks ago was postponed following Babyface and his family testing positive for coronavirus. The battle was then moved to 18 April but didn’t take place due to technical difficulties. So, the battle which drew over 500 000 viewers almost breaking Instagram, was well worth the wait.
The battle saw the pair go at each other for over 20 rounds of good old music. Babyface brought out hits such as Toni Braxton‘s Love Shoulda Brought You Home ans You’re Makin Me High, After 7’s Ready or Not, Bobby Brown’s Every Litte Step, Tevin Campbell‘s Can We Talk and I’m Ready, TLC’s Red Light Special, Whitney Houston & CeCe Winans’ Count on Me and Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey‘s When You Believe.
Teddy Riley also brought forth his impressive catalogue which includes Blackstreet’s Before I Let You Go, Guy’s I Like, Let’s Chill and Piece of My Love, Keith Sweat’s I Want Her and Make It Last Forever, SWV’s Right Here (Human Nature Remix), Michael Jackson‘s In the Closet and Jam, and Blackstreet feat. Dr. Dre & Queen Pen’s No Diggity.
