So we go for the check-up and I am sitting there and Hungani was in the car or outside, I can’t remember. and I already had my video camera out because I wanted to record for him [Hungani]. My camera was out and it was on record and it wasn’t even honestly a minute and the doctor did her scan and then she said – I can’t even remember her exact words because I blanked but said I’m sorry there’s no embryo’ Stephanie recalled, the actress was diagnosed with a blighted ovum.
In the couple’s latest video, they mention how they had to deal with the healing process, and then they started with the pregnancy process of taking injections and IVF at a later stage. They admit that they eventually stopped as this took an mental and emotional toll on their relationship
After some time though, Stephanie says after feeling sick and taking multiple tests and blood work that came out negative, her gynae confirmed her pregnancy.
‘I had to go back to her, I took the pregnancy test and Jiki-Jiki I’m pregnant’ she said, Stephanie says that she didn’t believe the test but after going for an emergency check-up with her gynaecologist, they could hear the heartbeat.
A few months down the line and the couple are now parents ‘ We then gave birth, Hungani was dressed looking like a surgeon you know, and I was numb, maybe overwhelmed but it came across a numb – you know when you’re just going through the motions. And, yeah guys we’re parents’ they said.
Stephanie and Hungani concluded with how they were grateful for the love and all the congratulation messages they recieved.
