Buckingham Palace released the first photo of Queen Elizabeth II’s final resting place, who was placed to rest alongside her late husband Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh.
An engraved ledger stone featuring the name of the late monarch was installed in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, an annex to the main chapel, on Monday evening after a private service attended by her family.
“A major stone was installed in the King George VI memorial chapel following the burial of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” the royal family wrote from its verified twitter account. The post was accompanied by a photo of the sovereign’s grave surrounded by floral arrangement which was reported by Page six.

After the sate funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on the 19th of September 2022, she was buried with the body of her late husband, Philip, who was moved to join her.
According to UK News report, there is a chapel in which all royals rest. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s parents, King George VI, who died in 1952, and Queen Elizabeth, the Queen’s Mother, who died in 2002, along with her sister, Princess Margaret, who also died in 2002, were all buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.
When the Queen’s husband of 73 years Prince Philip died in April 2021, his coffin was initially placed in the Royal Vault, set below St. George’s, where it remained until it could be relocated to the memorial chapel upon the Queen’s death.
