The Limpopo born star Makhadzi set the record straight regarding her alleged arrest in Botswana.
The news came after rumors of the Matorikisi hitmaker surfaced on social media that she was arrested after failing to appear at an event in Botswana.
According to MDM News who wrote on their Twitter page that:
“Makhadzi is currently detained by a court sheriff in Moshupa. According to sources the Mbewe Legal Practice and Hirshfield won’t let her leave Botswana until she pays a Maun promoter for a show she missed. The High-court of Botswana has instructed that she pays P700k+ or be sent straight to prison,” the publication wrote.

However the award-winning musician took to her Facebook account to set the record straight.
Makhadzi said that she was not arrested and warned her fans to stop entertaining people spreading lies about her.
“I can see allegations of me being arrested, to all my fans please stop entertaining the lies , no police came to arrest me and I haven’t received any papers. I am safe and free as I am speaking now. I am eating my Christmas at rehearsals room, preparing for my show for tomorrow 26 December at Giyani stadium. Please come support me.”
She added, “Tickets are available at computickets and web tickets. I pray the allegations are not meant for you to not come to my show thinking I am arrested, some people are wicked yoooo, sending love and light to you all,” she wrote on her Facebook page.
