Our local celebrities set the tone for celebrating this New Years in style. Those that were not doing gigs and celebrating with their fans were jetting out of the country to enjoy the night out in style.
Lets take a look at some of the highlights as our local celebrities crossed over into the New Year either in packed events or in their lavish trips overseas.
Shortly after he buried a friend and industry brother known as Mampintsha who was also a member of Big Nuzz, the show went on for Dj Tira as he packed Moses Mabhida stadium for his most anticipated annual show Fact Durban Rocks. The crowd went crazy and celebrated this monumental event with their favorite Dj and Media mogul, who also honored his long time friend Mampintsha, who died after being admitted to hospital for a heart attack.

Another event that was packed by A- list celebrities who crossed over to the New Year with their followers was the Metro FM heatwave. The line-up included the likes of Black motion, Sjava, Lulo Cafe, Tuks Senganga and many more other industry musicians. The Metro FM events kicked off by giving back R10 000 to a local organisation called Zanokhanyo Children’s safety in Khayelitsha, Cape Town and did the same at Rusternburg for Tsoga re thuse organisation.

The young couple have been strutting the streets of New York and celebrated their countdown watching the Empire state building light up to celebrate the New Year 2023 from the view of their luxury apartment.
