The benefits of rewarding yourself on payday

Dopamine is a hormone that our brains release when we reward ourselves and makes us feel happy and content. Additionally, this hormone reduces stress and improves brain clarity. Self-love action includes self-reward. In addition to encouraging creativity, it boosts our self-confidence.

We work hard all month long, taking work home with us which then limits the amount of time we spend with our families. As much as we get paid for our jobs, it is also important that we don’t direct all our funds to our problems but treat ourselves to a mouthwatering dinner, a good spa day or even a walk along the beach with your favourite ice-cream.

Believe it or not, this has positive benefits to how we feel about our jobs and how well we perform.

A simple system of personal rewards will help you find motivation to continue. The size of the reward does not always correspond to motivation. Even the tiniest rewards might motivate you to work harder. Science supports the claim that rewards increase energy levels. Your body releases dopamine whenever you receive a reward, which makes you feel good.

Additionally, dopamine is extremely addictive in all of its forms. You constantly want more dopamine. You can take advantage of your dopamine by creating a reward system for yourself.

You are the only one who can recognize your own efforts. The only person who can inspire you to keep going is also you. So don’t pass up the chance to indulge yourself; you deserve it.
