It has been years that the artist has been struggling with drugs and alcohol abuse, going in and out of rehab and relapsing has taken a toll on the musician.
Coming back hot with the Amapiano song, the star has told Zimoja that “The song dropped at the beginning of February locally and in Nigeria, which was showcased in the biggest tv shows in Lagos on SoundCity.”
Although, many people might think the R&B star hasn’t released music in a while, Ishmael has two songs he released last year. Asphelelanga where he did a rendition of Nana Coyote and Steve Kekana’s Take Your Love and Jabu Khanyile’s Mkhaya Lo.
The star is known from a popular musical group called Jozi where it was him, Da Les and Bongani Fassie known for their hit songs, Muthaland and Keep it going. This was before he went on his own and released hit songs like Roba Le Theka and Waar Was Jy.
