South African actress and television personality Nomzamo Mbatha is set to star in a Hollywood film alongside America’s legendary actor Bruce Willis and Dominic Purcell in the film, Assassin.
This will be the South African star’s second Hollywood film as she previously starred in the sequel Coming 2 America in 2021 as Mirembe alongside Trevor Noah and Eddie Murphy.
According to FirstShowing the film Assassin, which features actors Bruce Willis and Nomzamo Mbatha, was created by Saban Films and 120dB Films.
The publication also indicated a little bit more about the film and what viewers should expect and anticipate in the upcoming Hollywood sci-fi thriller.
“A private military operation led by (Bruce) invents futuristic microchip tech that enables the mind of an agent to inhabit the body of another person to carry out covert, deadly missions. But when an agent (Mustafa Shakir) is killed during a secret mission, his wife (Nomzamo) must take his place in an attempt to bring the man responsible to Justice.”
The film is directed by up-and-coming filmmaker/editor Jesse Atlas, who makes his directorial debut with this project after numerous short films and lots of editing work previously.
The upcoming sci-fi movie was written by Aaron Wolfe and Jesse Atlas.
It has also been reported that the upcoming sci-fi thriller film is allegedly the last film that Bruce Willis will appear in. The live free or die hard actor announced in 2022 that he was retiring from the movie business after his aphasia diagnosis. The condition reportedly affects the ability to communicate. In early February, Bruce’s family shared an updated diagnosis and said he had frontotemporal dementia.
