Zoleka Mandela has been sharing diary sessions of her radiation treatment sessions and motherhood journey with her followers following a third return of cancer.
Posting on her social media, Zoleka shared how she spent Freedom Day commenting, “27.04.2023 – This is was me a few hours ago, INSOMNIA (with zero pain – I was so relieved ) from the steroids I have been advised by my Radiation Oncologist; to discontinue after my last Radiation Treatment – as they cause brittle bones! I already have cancer in my bones, lung and liver … As well my entire brain and not in just the left hemisphere as the CT Scan has previously shown,
“Once I’m done with Radiation, it’s back to treatment with my Medical Oncologist. Guess what I was able to do yesterday? Cook dinner for the kids and prepare all my meals, all by myself.”
The mother of six also added, “My HIGHLIGHTS!!! I also stretch/semi exercise everyday and focus my energies on everything #TERMINALLYFREE (my ultimate/daily goal: ensuring that things are as normal as they can be in the house for my 65 million kids!!!).”
The author and granddaughter of struggle hero’s Winnie Madikizela- Mandela and Nelson Mandela also thanked everyone who has been in support.
She added, “Thanking each and every one of you for all your prayers, calls, your advice, emails, text messages, your words and wisdom, as well as for your comfort and support. You’re all so freaking BOMB-DIGGITY!!! Peace. Passion. Positivity.”
