Rapper Emtee’s estranged wife Nicole Kendall Chinsamy filed a court interdict to stop the rapper from bankrupting their joint estate after he allegedly transferred over R500K.
Sunday World reports Nicole headed to the Johannesburg High Court to apply for a court interdict to force the rapper to pay back the funds within two days of receiving the court papers.
The news comes after TshisaLIVE reported that the musician had filed for divorce in April, the same month he was attending to his assault case which his wife later withdrew.
She stated in the court papers seen by the publication that she wants the trust fund untouched until they finalise their divorce. In addition, the court interdict is to stop Emtee from taking loans against their assets, dissipating their assets, depleting the bank account or trust account of Emtee Records, or selling shares in Africa Trap Movement.
“It is not clear from the notification what the reason for the transfer was, and to which bank account it was transferred,” reads the court papers seen by the publication.
“My apprehension is that it is a clear act of dissipation and an attempt at hiding funds from me by the first respondent, either acting alone or in concert with Dumisani.”
Nicole also stated that Emtee has shares, stakes and/or assets in Emtee Records and African Trap Movement, she also admitted that she does not know the value. She then went on to say that she does not own any assets except a laptop, cellphone, jewellery and clothing which is estimated at R100 000.
