Sports presenter Robert Marawa recently sat down with DJ Fresh and shared the number of times he had near-death experiences, including an attempt on his life.
Robert opened up to the DJ on the podcast WAW What A Week (With DJ Fresh) about his health issues.
According to TshisaLIVE, Robert had a heart attack in 2008 after a gym session. This was due to Robert not exercising for a long time. In 2013, he collapsed at an event, and in 2017, he was reportedly taken to a medical facility.
Speaking to DJ Fresh, Robert cleared up the rumours that he had experienced three heart attacks, being hospitalised for a third time and almost losing his life.
Robert hinted to the DJ and podcast listeners that the third time he went to the hospital was because of an attempt on his life. He, however, did not go into detail about who the person/people were, or how it was done.
He said, “I was not exaggerating. There have been attempts on my life. Even in the times when people were saying I was in the hospital because of a heart attack, and it was my third heart attack.”
Robert then confirmed that he had never had three heart attacks but did end up in the ICU.
“The two were purely cardiac and health related. Then there was the one that was a direct threat to my life, but it was reported as a heart attack. Two heart attacks are scary. But I think that particular one made me feel like I was losing my life. I felt the presence of my life just being sucked away when I was there.”
