Lebo Sekgobela, a gospel musician who spent weeks in the hospital due to a ruptured appendix, has expressed gratitude for having survived.
According to ZiMoja, the Lion of Judah singer thanked God for giving her another chance at life.
Lebo claims that she was going about her day as usual when she suddenly experienced a strong ache in her lower abdomen. Fortunately for her, her boss and husband was nearby and urged they go to the hospital.
“I was in so much pain that I kept praying until we got to the hospital,” she said, further stating that when she arrived at the hospital, she was rushed to the theatre for an emergency operation.
Lebo is extremely grateful as she knows that if she wasn’t rushed to the hospital, the situation would’ve probably been different.
Lebo says that having your appendix burst is one of the most painful things you could go through. “I don’t wish the pain upon anyone, but I am glad the operation was a success,” she further states.
Due to her being in hospital, she was forced to cancel a few gigs. She claims that some fans were angry at her for cancelling, however, the situation was out of her control. “I would like to apologise to my supporters who bought tickets for the three shows I missed, I am truly sorry but there was nothing I could do,” she said.
Lebo is currently at home recovering but will return soon to host a show to thank God.
