Pregnancy is a joyful time for many as the new mothers looks forward to holding their bundle of joy for the first time. For some, pregnancy is easy, less complicated with no need to stress. For others pregnancy can be a nightmare as the hormonal changes can lead to skin damage that may need attentive care and a change of lifestyle.

Following are four tips to get after pregnancy by Entertaiment Times.

Drink plenty of water – drinking water is the most forgettable, yet most important aspect of maintaining a good skin. Medically, water keep the liver in a good condition post pregnancy. One is expected to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day to maintain a healthy skin. The water’s function is to moisturize the skin on the inside, helping the skin retain its elasticity and glow.
Skin care routine – dead skin, pigmentation, and acne are common after pregnancy. It is imperative that one embarks on a skincare routine, so don’t forget to cleanse, tone and moisturize your face. This exercise is not only good for the skin, but it also allows the new mom some “me time”.

Take as much rest as possible – as you sleep, your body rejuvenates itself. It is also why we tend to use most of our skincare products at night when we go to sleep. The baby constantly waking up in the middle of the night may affect the amount of sleep you get. It is advised to take rests and naps whenever the baby takes his/hers.

Keep yourself clean at all times – hygiene is very important at all times when handling a baby. Post-pregnancy duties, however. can really affect your cleanness. The most important thing is to make sure you’ve showered and change your clothes on a daily basis.
