The renowned actress Zikhona, who portrayed Mandisa from seasons one to three, delivered a standout performance and merited a SAFTA nomination, states Sunday World.
“Whoever is responsible for the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTAs) must really have a personal vendetta against The Wife. I think we can all agree that The Wife actors gave us their best in their last season. Not even one cast member was nominated for an award. I mean, people would go crazy on Thursdays after episodes were released,” the publication stated.
The award ceremony is set to take place on Saturday, 30 September 2023 on SABC 3 (DSTV 193) and Mzansi Magic (DSTV 161) at 19:00.
