Musician Eric Kulani Giyani Nkovani, known to many as the entertaining Papa Penny, took to social media to clarify who he was scolding regarding a remixed song. Many social media users thought Papa Penny was lambasting Black Coffee, when in fact it was Bushida Coffee.
Sharing his disapproval for the now-deleted remix of Hai ka Mina on TikTok, Papa Penny stated, “Bushida Coffee, stop my song! Hai ka Mina, that is my song! Stop that what you are doing… You cannot remix my song without me telling you! Compose your own song. Delete that rubbish now.”

DJ Bushida Coffee later stated in a TikTok video that he had deleted the song. According to TshisaLIVE, the deejay also stated that the song was different and he did not sample or copy any lyrics. Rather, he used a small sample of the voice when the reality TV star says, “Hai.”
“I know why people would be angry, I understand, and I spoke to Papa Penny during the day and we ended up talking about procedures and all was sorted,” noted Bushida.
Returning to the app, Papa Penny made it clear who he was referring to in his previous video.
“People, stop confusing the names. It’s not Black Coffee, he is the right guy, it’s not him. It’s Bushida. He calls himself Bushida Coffee. He did a remix of Milandu Bhe, the original, 1995. Not that one… it’s not Black Coffee. Correct the mistake because now you are spoiling Black Coffee. Correct the names. Please, correct the names.”
