The right brow treatment can make all the difference in framing your face, and today we’re spilling the beans on the top 4 brow treatments and why they work as well as they do! Tinting for oomph, threading to thin out, microblading for fullness, and lamination for the lift. Let’s get into it!
Tinting
What is it? A dye is applied to your eyebrows to help define and deepen the tone.
How long does it last? Four to six weeks.
How much is it? It’s best done at your local salon, where treatments are usually around R100. Always get a patch test before your appointment.
Threading
What is it? Threading is like sculpting for your brows. A skilled technician twists and rolls a cotton thread over the area, plucking out unwanted hairs. This process shapes your brows while offering a clean and defined look.
How long does it last? Threading typically lasts around 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your hair growth rate.
How much is it? Pricing can vary based on location and salon, but you can generally expect it to be affordable, often falling within the range of R50 to R150.
Microblading
What is it? A less scary way of tattooing your eyebrows – the needle doesn’t go as deeply into your skin, so the ink isn’t as permanent.
How long does it last? One to three years.
How much is it? From R2 000. This is something worth investing in, but research thoroughly, and don’t just pick the cheapest deal.
Lamination
What is it? A chemical solution is applied to your brows, which helps lift and straighten the hairs. This makes it easier to brush brows into shape and helps cover any gaps.
How long does it last? Around six weeks.
How much is it? Usually around R400, depending on your salon and technician.
