American rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj is set to host the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
The Moment 4 Life hitmaker will emcee the VMAs for the second time in 2023, on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. She will host the event and provide a debut performance of her most recent hit, “Last Time I Saw You,” E news reported.
The rapper has received a staggering total of 25 nominations since 2010, including six just this year. Best Hip Hop, Video of the Year, and Artist of the Year are some of the awards she is nominated for.
Additionally, Nicki was awarded with a unique accolade last year: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award, which, according to MTV who told the publication mentioned above that it is given to musicians “for their outstanding contributions and profound impact on music video and popular culture.”
The rapper also took to her social media where she poked fun of herself and the VMAS for letting her host the award show.

While another simply congratulated the mother of one saying: “Congratulations boo ?? much deserved ?.”
