Award winning singing sensation Ringo Madlingozi left the stage in a not so good mood when he performed at the DSTV Delicious Festival this past weekend.
The Festival which took place at Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on Saturday and Sunday (23rd and 24th September) saw performances from local acts such as Ringo, Zakes Bantwini Kabza de Small, Morda, Lamiez Holwothy, DJ Kent and many more. International music sensations Maxwell and Tems were also part of the performances.
In a now deleted Instagram post, the Ndiyagodola hit maker shared a video of himself walking off the stage, before walking off the stage the singer spoke to his music lovers promising them new music. He then walked off showing the middle finger as he went.
He then captioned his pots:
“#Multichoice #dstvdeliciousfestival. This is for you, for treating artists like useless, brainless, good-for-nothing fools. I’m glad I had to experience what many artists have been saying about your over-expensive festival. Multichoice should be channeling a great deal of the proceedings of this extravaganza to establish centres that would benefit young budding artists in SA. Their disrespect of black artists is appalling to say the least. the throngs of people that flock into this festival don’t know the shameful way our brothers and sisters are treated backstage. No body knows where these crazy orders are coming from. These orders are treating artists like fools. When one asks who’s orders are these, nobody knows. Somewhere there’s one person watching black on black violence happening, while he/she is counting monies rolling in. South Africans are floating above their lan. Someone else is owning it and is in charge. That has got to change.”
The video of the superstar made its rounds on social media with users on X (formerly known as Twitter) commenting:
“He was FED UP! ??? walked off stage without finishing his set and showed the middle finger ????.”

He said he was treated like a nobody upon entering the venue, treated like trash by security, he also had a problem with being the opening act when his performance was not scheduled for opening, he says the organizers said “the people/his fans” asked that he be the opening act

Craziest moment yesterday at #DStvDeliciousFestival yesterday was Ringo ranting about never coming back to perform at the fest, leaving mid performance and pulling the middle finger as he walked off ??
