Mzansi celebs celebrate Springboks’ win against France

There’s nothing better than celebrating the win of a nation! After last night’s Springboks versus France match (where The Bokke won 29-28), many South Africans, as well as a few local celebs, expressed their joy via social media.

Springboks captain Siya Kolisi had even mentioned that the team played for the nation. “It’s not about us on this field anymore, it’s about the people back home and that’s what’s driving us. Win or lose, they will see this kind of fight that you saw out there today.”

Here are some of the celebs who celebrated the amazing win.

Radio host Thando Thabethe watched the nail-biting game live at the stadium. Waving the South African flag high and celebrating with supporters, Thando captioned her post, “Ladies and gentlemen… the champions of the world‼️‼️‼️ What a time to be alive!!! ????????????????????????????????.”

Sports journalist and commentator Robert Marawa also celebrated the one-point victory in France. He shared the celebration video on his X (formerly Twitter) timeline, captioning his post, “At the end of the day… We are South Africa!!!”

Media personality Somizi Mhlongo shared a few snaps on his Instagram, asking, “Croissants for dinner anyone? ????????????.”

The Sarafina! actor also shared that Springboks player Cheslin Kolbe was his “hero of the night,” sharing a video of Cheslin’s brilliant blocking of the ball.

Rapper and TV personality Boity also shared her excitement, stating that she was going to bed with a happy heart.

Also taking to X, businesswoman Bonang Matheba referred to the Springboks team as “our happiness, our joy, our pride and glory” after the spectacular win.
