It was a decision based on “mutual consent.” This was how Soweto soccer giants Kaizer Chiefs summarized their agreement with the club’s former head coach Molefi Ntseki – this after the club recently announced that the two will be parting ways.
In a statement issued on the Kaizer Chiefs website, the club announced that Molefi’s tenure has come to an end following a difficult start to the season. Molefi was first offered the head position at the start of the season on condition that he increased the club silverware, an object that seemed difficult for him to achieve.
Since his appointment in June, the former Bafana Bafana coach struggled to find his feet in the head position. Some of his disappointments include being kicked out of the MTN 8 which was won by rivals Orlando Pirates, and more recently losing 1-0 to AmaZulu in the Carling Knockout.
“Given the recent run of disappointing results, the parties agreed that this was the best course of action under the prevailing circumstances,” the club stated.
Meanwhile, the club’s Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. wished his former head coach well and thanked him for his contribution to the team: “I would like to thank Coach Ntseki for his contribution to the Club since he arrived here, both at development level and with the senior team. We wish him success in his future endeavours.”
Following the announcement, both football lovers as well those devoted to the Amakhosi brand had mixed reactions to the news. Some felt that he was never the man for the job in the first place, while others believe that the problem lies deeply within the structure of the club.
These were what some people had to say:

Ntseki doesn’t have experience on club level. He’s not used to that pressure. It was a bad decision to hire him in the first place.

SACKED!
Molefi Ntseki is a goner. It was a matter of time, with results and the club going NOWHERE.
What’s that, like 8 coaches now in the last 6 years? Nothing is changing at the club. #Amakhosi4Life #KaizerChiefs #NtsekiOut pic.twitter.com/PexcHy2a1e

I’m still so happy Kaizer Chiefs sacked Molefi Ntseki and removed Zwane completely from the bench ??

Could not help Bafana Bafana qualify for the AFCON finals last year and now sacked by Kaizer Chiefs, was coach Molefi Ntseki at the right places but wrong times?
Can this be classified as a failure on the career that has not taken off?
Does he deserve a chance elsewhere?
