Magenta Coal, a new local drama series, includes a stellar cast with some of Africa’s veterans who have mastered the craft of acting and consistently graced our screens with their well-curated skills.
As provided by Pulse Nigeria – Nigeria’s popular news platform – Magenta Coal revolves around a family who owns one of the biggest mining companies in South Africa. These mining magnates, however, begin to experience challenges and find themselves in tricky situations when the wife of the mining magnate becomes involved in a fight over fortune and family succession.
Mzansi awaits this new local production that features one of Nigeria’s prominent thespians within the acting industry, Richard Mofe-Damijo, professionally known as RMD.

As mentioned above, the show stars South Africa’s true veterans namely, Connie Chiume, Nambitha Mpumlwana, Vusi Kunene, Hamilton Dhlamini and Desmond Dube. The local series will also feature the late actress and broadcaster, Busi Lurayi, as that was one of her last roles before she died.

Alongside these veterans are popular names within the acting industry such as Khanya Mkangisa, Ntando Duma, Enzo Radebe, Cedric Fourie, Omuhle Gela and Cici Hambanaye.

Those that have seen the trailer are waiting with bated breath for the debut of this new local production series. Many viewers and fans expressed that this series is indeed worth watching as the cast has been proficiently picked.
