We are slowly but surely approaching the festive season which means we will have a lot more family time to catch up and make new memories.

1. Green Point Park
The park is situated in the Atlantic Seaboard of Cape Town, alcohol and loud noises are not allowed; however, pets are allowed in the park.

2. Maynardville Park
The park is nestled amidst so many of the goings-on of the Mother City. This is a beautifully green escape from the busy city around it, and is known for the art, drama and music performances that are so frequently held in the open-air theatre here.

3. Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden
This park has a large green lawn to enjoy, you can bring drinks and snacks. Guests can also admire dinosaur statues the entrance to the garden costs R60 per person.

4. Boschendal Wine Estate
The is valley right between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, Boschendal Wine Estate is one of the oldest wine estates in the region. There are two picnic offerings to choose from, the Rhone Picnic which offers a fully serviced affair with pre-packed picnic baskets that you can enjoy under the estateβs beautiful oak trees. While second one is the Werf Garden Picnic, which offers a more laid-back vibe and takes place on the Pavilion Lawn which is a pre-packed picnic baskets include foods like delicate pates, coronation chicken, farm-style hummus, and freshly baked bread.
