Miss Universe South Africa Bryoni Govender is going for gold! The pageant beauty showcased a few golden garments on her social media, as well as the swimsuit she wore on the Miss Universe stage for the preliminary swimwear round.
With the worldwide pageant just days away, Bryoni took to Instagram to first share the outfit she wore for the round of interviews. Showing off the fabric that hits close to home, Bryoni wrote in her caption:
“To have stood in front of a panel of incredible women knowing that I have all of you behind me is something I will forever cherish! South Africa, it is truly my honour to be representing you!”
She added, “I feel completely at peace knowing that I got the opportunity to share my heart and love for my country with people from all over the world!”
Sharing a “fun fact” about the fabric used for the garment, Bryoni stated that she and her team knew it would be used for her interview outfit as the fabric was imported from India. She notes that it blended “both my homeland and Indian heritage so beautifully.”

Bryoni also gave some insight into her interview with the Miss Universe judges.
“My interview went phenomenal… The only thing though, it was so short!”

The admitted attorney of the High Court also posted a few snaps of her evening gown inspired by the rich mineral landscape of South Africa. The Miss South Africa Instagram account added that the dress also drew inspiration from Bryoni’s Indian heritage.

Lastly, Bryoni showed off her gold swimsuit. Many social media users showered her with tons of positivity while admiring her walk.
