South African music lovers were left emotional after a video emerged of hip hop star Emtee performing a touching tribute of one of his collaborations with the late AKA.
Appearing in a local studio, the ‘Ghetto Hero’ singer found himself jamming to his and AKA’s last recorded song titled – Crown.
The song was released within weeks after AKA’s passing and has become a popular favourite from his posthumous album, Mass Country.
Meanwhile, a clip of the performance trended on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and had many followers moved by the tribute to the slain rapper.

Users later entered the comment section to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “The thought of knowing AKA was going to give us more music after the album is what kills and haunts you as a mega fan.”
Another person commented: “Touched my heart.”
While a third person added: “What a banger! The way they would have ruled with this song.”
The bond between the pair has come a long way. Following AKA’s passing in February, the 30-year-old shared multiple posts of the man he regarded as the greatest of all time (GOAT).
In February this year, Emtee shared a picture of the duo with a caption: “I’m not okay.”
