When it comes to celebrated thespians, Winnie Ntshaba is one of the many local talents on top of the list!
Best known for her role as Khethiwe Buthelezi on Generations and currently starring in Showmax’s Adulting, Winnie recently bagged herself an award at the Gauteng Women’s Excellence Awards – an awards ceremony that “honours women who are doing exceptional work in their different fields,” says Winnie.
Taking to Instagram to share the moment with fans, the star revealed that she won an award in the Women in Arts category. “Our industry is unpredictable and very fickle but the passion in us keeps us pushing!” she said.
She then sent a shout-out to companies who had a hand in her success: “Indonsa Productions, Royalty Soapie Awards, Royalty Soapie Foundation and Round Table Talks / Insight are the babies that keep me up, always trying to shape our industry to be number one worldwide! The arts is a soul of every nation and a nation that doesn’t take care of its artists is doomed‼️”
Winnie then ended off with gratitude. She wrote:
“Thank you to my maker God and my family and friends for always standing by my side and mostly to the viewers that watch what we do daily, your love and support are amazing. @gauteng_government @gautengsacr a big thank you!! All Glory to the most high God!!!”
