We can all agree that Tyler ICU’s song Mnike was one of our favourite songs of 2023 as it kept us dancing since it was released. It remains the best hit song Tyler ICU and Tumelo have given us.
South African musician and DJ Ashley Rapala, professionally known as DJ Shimza, felt like Mnike alone was not enough, as he decided to shake things up by collaborating with Tyler ICU and Tumelo to do a house version of the song.
The 29-year-old DJ is known for his groundbreaking contribution to the house music genre. He then decided to bring his skills and infuse them into the hit song.
The original Mnike song was released in June, and it has gotten over 6.8 million views on YouTube.
Taking to Instagram, SlikourOnLife – a music and culture website – posted a post and announced that DJ Shimza remixed the song. The post had the remix’s art cover along with visuals of the remix.
