Idols SA contestant Snenhlanhla ‘Sneziey’ Msomi gave internet trolls a piece of her mind after negative comments were made under a post of her six-month-old daughter.
According to TshisaLIVE, the singer posted images of her baby girl on her Instagram timeline, which were then scrutinised by social media bullies. After seeing the bullying, Sneziey posted a few lengthy posts on her Instagram Stories to address the hatred. She said:
“It’s crazy how my music never trends like the cyber bullying I receive and now the stigma of ‘being a bully’ is catching on my baby Kanti. When will I be vindicated? She’s only six months, now what?”
Sneziey then asked the naysayers if her daughter should suffer and grow up with a low self-esteem because her mother was accused of bullying contestants, referring to her time on the fifteenth season of Idols SA.

She continued, “The fact that she’ll Google me one day and find all the insults I got and now her being bullied but adults because of her ‘bully mom’.”
On another Instagram Story, Sneziey said, “Don’t tell me about ‘protecting your children’. I deleted certain platforms because I’m afraid izinhlamba ngoba my grandmother couldn’t go to any radio station and talk while she was called umthakathi.”
She then stated that she remained silent on the matter before, adding, “I never defended myself in any way ngathula I suffered and I hated myself for even going on Idols. I hate the one show that made Sneziey who she is today because I was broken and was never defended. I healed and was hoping I was going to enjoy this phase of my life like everyone else, like every mother does, but I guess not. I’m a bully and my baby is suffering.”
