After a physically demanding 2023 which involved being several months away from his family, Springbok flyhalf, Handre Pollard, and his wife are finally enjoying much-deserved time off.
Handre played an integral part in the Boks successfully winning back-to-back Rugby World Cups. Prior to the prestigious tournament, he found himself struggling with an injury that initially ruled him out of contention to play at the tournament.
It was not until teammate Malcolm Marx hurt himself in training, that the heroic Pollard got called up as a replacement.
However, soon after finishing the tournament and participating in the victory parade, the Springbok kicker headed back to England to represent his club Leister Tigers, meaning no family time.
All that has now changed as he recently got a break and is spending it in the wisest way possible by heading to Dubai in the UAE.

Taking to Instagram he and his wife Marise are seen enjoying all the beauty that the Arab country has to offer.
Videos posted on their Instagram accounts show them out basking in the sun while enjoying some breakfast ahead of their daily adventures. Another video shows Handre testing out his 4×4 on the sand dunes.

Known for its deserted views, nothing says Arab like the privilege of riding on the back of a camel. Pollie, as he is referred to by his teammates, has certainly grabbed the opportunity with both hands, while soon-to-be mom, Marise, assumes photography duties.
The couple are expected to welcome a baby boy in April this year.
