South African singer-songwriter, rapper, and record producer, Yanga Chief Ntshakaza is dropping an album soon and asked his supporters to help him choose a name for it.
Yanga is known for making hit songs in his home language IsiXhosa. He has worked with artists like AKA, Blxckie, Boity, Dee Koala and many others.
Taking to Instagram, the Best Rap SAMA award winner shared a snippet of his unreleased song. The snippet is made to be seen as an introspective and emotive offering where the Utatakho hitmaker tells a story about his life. Finishing his verse, we hear a soulful and uplifting chorus that is sung by an unnamed artist.
In his caption, he hints that he is going to drop an album and asked, “What should I call my album?”
The post has a voting station for the album’s potential titles name: What You Prayed For, Childhood Dreams and First Of All Faku.
This comes as a surprise to his fans and supporters as Yanga last dropped an album in 2020. He released singles and did a few features as he was featured in his late friend AKA’s album.
