A healthy working environment coupled with colleagues who bring the best out of us is often all we need to become good at what we do.
For well-known sports presenter Walter Mokoena, the statement could not have been any truer.
Known for his charismatic personality, Walter’s journey in broadcast media stems way back.
At just 21 years old, the lively sports presenter already found himself behind the mic at Kaya FM radio station and made a mark at a handful of other media companies including Heart FM, and The Citizen.
Over the years, he has been in the limelight for several reasons, one of which is his relationship, with his daughter’s mother, the actress Pearl Tusi.
After their relationship ended, Pearl had another brief romance with another industry professional, Robert Marawa.
Known for being in the same industry, the chances of Walter and Robert exchanging tips and advice would have been quite high. Despite having a history of dating the same woman, Walter recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to share exactly what a big impact Robert had on his professional life when they worked together at the SABC.
“Appreciation post @robertmarawa by far the best Sports anchor this country has ever produced.”
“We made magic together, we made the impossible, Possible. learnt a lot from you just by watching u in action. Salute Bob.”
