After the election date announcement by the President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, many political parties moved ahead with their election campaigns hoping to convince people on why they should vote for them on the 29th of May.
MK Party’s top member and former president of South Africa Jacob Zuma was among those who delivered speeches on what his party would do for the citizens if put in power.
His speech touched on many social issues, including teenage pregnancy, corporal punishment as well as a promise for free education.
Delivering his speech in isiZulu he commented:
“We will offer free education so that our children can be able to take this country to greater heights.”
