Economic Freedom Party (EFF) Chief in Command Julius Malema recently advised party members to reproduce as his party would double the child grant from a mere R510 to R1020.
This talk was delivered at the EFF’s manifesto launch in the Eastern Cape. Many political parties are currently busy with manifestos in preparation for the May upcoming seventh democratic elections.
Advising people to reproduce, the EFF CIC shared:
“Comrades, make babies, I will pay. We are going to double child grant from R510 to R1020, because our children deserve better. Don’t be lazy, please don’t be lazy make babies.”
Julius then turned to the party’s secretary general and said:
“SG, don’t sleep. When we leave here, we are pleading you to get busy, please. I don’t care, whether you are poor or not, make babies. We must multiply ourselves, we must leave a legacy through our own children.”
Speaking of the criticism that he gets when he advises people to make babies, the CIC said:
“They say to me why do you say people must make children, they are poor, how are they going to feed these children? I was born to a poor family, being born in a poor family does not mean you are going to die poor you can change that family and make it a better family.”

Many internet users expressed expressed their disappointment at the CIC’s advice, commenting:
My heart drop every time grants promises been made by these politicians, the working classes will be tax double to fulfill Juju promises and remain poor later join the grant gang as well😢

I just wonder why Julius Malema always messes up good things. Fighters worked hard to mobilize people to come and listen to him, and he thanked them by saying something stupid to decampain the EFF. Hard work down the drain.

One user felt that doubling the grant was still not enough, commenting:
It needs to be trippled. What children are currently getting in South Africa is an insult.
