What can be better than seeing your child walking in your footsteps without you having to ask them? The Springboks captain Siya Kolisi who recently moved to France expressed how proud he is of his son.
Siya excitedly shared that his son, Nicholas, had played his first rugby match, sparking a wave of enthusiasm among his fans who saw it as a clear indication that Nicholas was following in his father’s illustrious footsteps.
Taking to his Instagram page, the father of two shared a sneak peek of the rugby game and in his caption, and wrote, “So proud of this one! Played his first game for Racing92. The tape on the wrist”

Social media users and friends flooded Siya’s comment section as they expressed that the boy takes after him:
“Siya’s spot in the Springboks squad is in danger. This guy will run circles around his dad.”
“I love seeing this. Dad’s supporting their kids. It’s my fondest memories of my parents as a kid and they still do to this day,” wrote another user.
One user jokingly wrote that they could see Siya’s famous step done by Nicholas.
Another one said: “That’s so cool well done boysie! …. our son, 10 years old also played his first match on Saturday for a club @flrsv85200 here in the Vendee (west coast of France!).”
“Scored three tries…proud moment…. but was told by the coach not to arrive at the changing rooms in Springbok colours … So we bought him SA flag undies,” they added.
