Uncle Waffles became topical on TikTok after she released her latest music video which included a lot of the LGBTQI community.
South African-based DJ and record producer Lungelihle Zwane professionally known as Uncle Waffles recently released a music video for her song Wandibusa which has been trending on TikTok.
With clips and recordings of the song shared on TikTok, a lot of the app users were impressed that she had included the queer in the music video, content creator @kagiso.mogola shared a video and applauded her for the queer support.
In the video, he said, “I have never seen someone appreciate loudly and boldly so the queer movement in South Africa like Uncle Waffles. I have never, since day one she has supported queer kids.”
“It is never easy to put queer kids on centre stage trust me, believe me, it is never easy,” they added.
The video was captioned, “The way @Uncle Waffles has appreciated and supported the queer movement Loudly and boldly since day one is so MAGICAL and beautiful to witness. I have never seen anything like this being done by anyone, especially in SA. She deserves everything and more. God bless babey!!, otherwise Go watch the Wadibusa music video.”

Other TikTokers shared, “No because also that production and creative direction she ate that up!”
“I’m actually too stunned to speak that video is perfect. Camera work? Choreo? The kiss at the end? just perfect,” wrote another user.
Another user said: “No guys Busiswa needs her flowers because she’s been that girl before amapiano.”
Jessica Mashaba also gave Uncle Wafles her flowers.
