Makoti surprises Venda in-laws with instant noodles for dinner

Your in-laws are coming for supper, what should you make? Most people would be scavenging through their kitchen cupboards and then making a shopping list of what other ingredients to get.

It’s your in-laws and surely you want to impress them, right? Impress, yes. Going broke while doing it, no. This woman made the best of what she had at her disposal.

Sharing the video of a huge pot over an open fire, TikToker Rializah captioned the post: “POV: Your in-laws are waiting for Sunday meal and you decided to surprise them with noodles for dinner.”

@rializah Tadaaaaaa??It ended in tears ??? Not my Venda in-laws waiting for Pap (Vhuswa) then I have decided to surprise them with noodles ?#foryoupage #viral #fyb #foryou ♬ Hhalala – Sanele Jama

In case you thought it was a joke, she shows her online followers several packs of instant noodles being opened and put in a large pot on the stove.

As an extra flourish, Rializah adds viennas and sliced boiled eggs to the dish.

She did admit it ended in tears when her husband’s parents were expecting pap and instead got noodles.

The post gained more than 30K likes, but it was the comments that made things more interesting.

When a fellow TikToker mentioned that “breaking noodles like that should be a crime,” Rializah responded: “Ndithe sorry but my kids likes noodles like this so anything for kids I mean I will commit this crime for my kids.”

Another shared a similar incident: “My cousin once married a SA lady then took her to Zim and she prepared bread and eggs for dinner for the in-laws.”

Rializah even admitted she was from Limpopo when @Mbuwe said she’d lose her husband if she was from there.

Although some called Rializah’s unusual dinner choice disrespectful, she jokingly added, “I was kneeling down when I was serving them to show some respect.”
